Circulation Policies: Patron Accounts

All LCSC students, faculty and staff must present their current campus ID cards to check out materials.

WIN library patrons must present their WIN library cards and current photo ID.

Community patrons and alumni must create a guest patron account with the library in order to borrow any item. In order to set up an account, all community patrons and alumni are required to provide a current photo ID and proof of current address.

• Children under 14 are not eligible for LCSC library cards.
  •  Internet access: Not eligible to use the library's computers
• Children 14 - 17 are eligible for LCSC library cards with a valid student ID and a parent's signature.
  • Internet access: May use the library's computers up to 30 minutes per day. Must present LCSC library card.

Borrowing privileges are available to all current LCSC students, faculty and staff. Guest patrons from NIAL (North Idaho Academic Libraries) and community members/alumni with LCSC Library guest patron cards may also borrow materials. Patrons may only have one account.

Library cards cannot be transferred to another person -- one card for one patron.

Individuals with fines or overdue materials at any WIN library will be denied borrowing privileges until their accounts have been cleared. Individuals may check their accounts on the online catalog associated with their home libraries.

The library requires that all patrons checking out materials present their library cards at the time of check-out. Patron accounts must be cleared of all fines and overdue materials in order to borrow materials.

The following categories have borrowing privileges:

LCSC students, faculty and staff -- Current campus ID card

North Idaho Academic Library (NIAL) patron -- Current student, faculty or staff ID card

BSU/MSW students -- Current LCSC campus ID card

Guest patrons (including alumni) -- LCSC Library guest patron card
